          Carl Erik Rinsch (born or )[1] is an American film director.

          He directed the film 47 Ronin. In , Netflix hired Rinsch to produce a episode series called Conquest and spent $55 million on the project, but it fell apart after production milestones were missed and no episodes were completed.

          Early life and education

          Rinsch was born in Los Angeles, California.[2] As a teenager, he took a short film class at the University of Southern California and later attended college at Brown University and Columbia University.[3]

          Rinsch was married to Gabriela Rosés Bentancor, an Uruguayan model and fashion designer.
