Mohiuddin Ahmad Alamgir (born 4 April ), better known as simply Alamgir,[3] is a Bangladeshi film actor and television host.
He won Bangladesh National Film Award for Best Actor and Bangladesh National Film Award for Best Supporting Actor a record nine times for his roles in the films Ma O Chhele (), Apekka (), Khotipuron (), Moroner Pore (), Pita Mata Santan (), Andha Biswas () and Desh Premik (), Jibon Moroner Sathi () and Ke Apon Ke Por ().[4]
Early life
Mohiuddin Ahmad Alamgir was born on 4 April at the Dhaka Medical College Hospital in East Bengal to a Bengali Muslim family from Nabinagar, Brahmanbaria.[5] His father, Kalim Uddin Ahmed, was an executive producer of Mukh O Mukhosh, the first Bengali-language feature film to be made in Bangladesh.[5]
